The vaccines for anyone are available because big pharma makes big monies off people’s failure to evaluated & analyse & study the facts of ingredients & process for making them from real factual sources.
I'm 67. I got my annual flu shot Friday, three days ago. I never expected I'd feel so terrible for two miserable days! Chills, nausea, aches... I now wonder if I might have been sick when I got the shot. I never had an untoward reaction in the past.
That sounds awful! It could be that you were coming down with something, or just had a stronger reaction to the shot this time. I hope you're feeling much better now!
I understand your concern, Les. Some studies have raised questions about how much flu vaccination has reduced overall mortality in older adults, and I think those are worth reviewing. At the same time, more recent research shows that flu shots can help prevent serious illness and hospitalization, even though protection varies from year to year. I think it's worth considering all the evidence.
I am 73 years old and I have never gotten a flu shot and I never will! Instead I go to my naturopathic doctor and get an immune booster shot. I haven't had the flu since the 1990s when my children were bringing germs home from school. My husband is 78 and he does not get the flu shot either. We focus on healthy living…exercise, eating well and supplementation.
I'm glad you and your husband have stayed healthy, Beverly. I agree that exercise and eating well are very important. However, I do think vaccination offers an additional layer of protection, especially as we get older. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Big mistake! Do your research from reliable sources first!

The studies show that the elderly death rate from flu has not abated with the introduction of the flu shot. It's time to revisit this annual shot.
Forget it! All the real data explains that!
