Or, your husband dies, and you now have all his closet and dresser space. No bins needed.

I'm just starting that process again this year. My daughter says '''you don't have too many clothes' but I find that looking for a dress when I have to move hangers one at a time to find it exhausting. At 77, I want a clothing storage method that I can navigate with ease. I'm purging as a set out to store winter clothes and I am asking my self "will I really wear this again?" for items that, while good simply don't fit with my life any more. And I am using soft zippered bags that can be compressed with extra zippers to take up less space. My out of season clothes will be store in the attic of my 'very' small house and I will get someone to take them up. I can pack them, but I can't carry them. But as you say, it's a bit of work and I am getting ready for it, not rushing into a task I can't finish.
